Don't stop believin'

HBO Video is releasing the final DVD set of "The Sopranos" on Oct. 23, but fans will have to wait another year to pick up one of those fancy complete-series sets that are fast becoming the standard in the TV-DVD market. "The Sopranos: Season 6, Part II" officially completes the acclaimed mob series' run on DVD; HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions also will be available.

'Web' nabs awards

Paramount Home Entertainment's "Charlotte's Web" and four other children's video releases were named best of the fest at the eighth annual Kids First! Film Festival Best Awards. Sharing the limelight at the Oct. 7 ceremony in Malibu were "Firehouse Dog" from Fox, "Viola" from James Marcus Haney, "My Backyard Was a Mountain" from Palmavejo Films and "Phonics 4 Babies" from Starz Home Entertainment.

Docu elects 'RFK'

Dokument Films on Nov. 20 will bow on DVD "RFK Must Die: The Assassination of Robert Kennedy," a documentary from producer-director Shane O'Sullivan. The docu is based on O'Sullivan's reports for BBC Newsnight and the Guardian and presents evidence alleging a link between the CIA and the June 1968 assassination of Kennedy as he campaigned in Los Angeles for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Orbison on DVD

The classic rock 'n' roll concert film "Roy Orbison: Black & White Night" will be released Dec. 18 on HD DVD by Image Entertainment. The 1987 performance by the late rock legend includes such guest musicians as Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne.
