Hong Kong financing forum postponed

Organizers cite low interest in attendance

HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong Film Financing Forum, due to start Thursday, has been postponed until further notice, organizers the Asia Business Forum told the Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

The forum has been pushed back to an undetermined date because of unsatisfactory attendance response, a spokesperson for the organizers said. Confirmed panelists scheduled to speak include Standard Charter Bank Media and Entertainment director Lee Beasley, Goldfish Capital CEO Thomas Leong and chief investment officer Eric N. Soldberg, and Salon Films Group chairman Fred Wang.

HKFFF was slated to include a conference and workshop, with delegates paying HK$13,370 ($1,718) to attend. A similar event in Singapore was held Monday and Tuesday.
