Hong Kong, Taiwan embrace 'Lust' at b.o.

HONG KONG -- Ang Lee's highly anticipated "Lust, Caution" opened to record-breaking boxoffice numbers in Hong Kong and Taiwan on Tuesday and Wednesday, Edko Films said Thursday."Lust, Caution," recently awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, brought in HK$3.7 million (US$ 474,359) in Hong Kong and NT$35 million (US$1 million) in Taiwan in its first two days.
These figures set the record for an all-time September opening in Hong Kong and the biggest Mid-Autumn Festival holiday single-day record as well as the biggest September Tuesday record in Taiwan. The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday was Tuesday.
