The TV network operator is brining its Celestial Classic Movies to the emerging market of Myanmar and remote Pacific island of Palau.

Hong Kong-based Celestial Tiger Entertainment is expanding its distribution into some of the more exotic reaches of Asia -- Myanmar and the island of Palau.

The operator of the largest group of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, Celestial Tiger Entertainment runs Celestial Movies, a 24-hour Chinese movie channel; Celestial Classic Movies, a channel dedicated to digitally-remastered Chinese classic movies; KIX and KIX HD, the action entertainment channel; and Thrill, the channel for the horror, thriller and suspense movies.

Under the new deals, the Forever Group-operated 4TV will launch Celestial Classic Movies in Myanmar. In Palau, Palau National Communications Corporation, the Republic of Palau’s national carrier for local and international telecommunications services, will launch Celestial Classic Movies on PNCC Digital TV.

The new deals also include the newly-established Kompas Gramedia Group-owned pay TV platform K-Vision carrying Celestial Movies and KIX; and the Philippines’ premier DTH satellite provider Cignal TV, a subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings, distributing KIX HD and Thrill in the Philippines.
