Netflix Pulls 'House of Cards' Season 3 After Leak
The third season of the streaming service's political drama, starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, was supposed to premiere on Feb. 27.
The third season of House of Cards debuted early on Netflix Wednesday afternoon, becoming fully available for viewing, but was pulled minutes later.
Netflix released a statement following the leak, blaming a technical error: "Due to a technical glitch some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peak. He'll be back on Netflix on Feb. 27."
While the Season 3 episodes were live, it appeared that all the episodes were available for viewing. Visitors who were able to load the episodes could watch them in full, even after Netflix pulled them. Season 3 was removed roughly 20 minutes after the leak.
The official House of Cards Twitter account joked, "This is Washington. There's always a leak."
