'House' in post-Super Bowl slot


Fox's red-hot drama series "House" has landed the plum post-Super Bowl slot next year.

Fox Boradcasting Co. president of entetainment Peter Liguori made the announcement Thursday during the network's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York.

"House" has been performing exceptionally well in its post-"American Idol" slot at 9 p.m. Tuesdays. Laurie has won two Golden Globes for his role as the title character, a brilliant doctor with a questionable bedside manner. The series also has won a writing Emmy.

"House," from NBC Universal Television Studio, is executive produced by creator David Shore, Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs, Bryan Singer, Daniel Sackheim, Garrett Lerner, Russel Friend and Tommy Moran.

Super Bowl XLII takes place Feb. 3 in Glendale, Ariz.
