How New Yorker Jessica Seinfeld Really Feels About Los Angeles Fashion
We totally agree.
If you happened to be in Malibu on Monday, you might have spotted the Seinfelds. It's true.
Native New Yorkers Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld — he hails from Brooklyn, her from the tiny town of Oyster Bay, and together they live on Long Island with their three kids — took a drive down the coast to check out the beachfront community while in town for Wednesday's second annual Los Angeles Fatherhood Lunch (hosted by Jerry and benefiting Jessica's Good+ Foundation and its many fatherhood programs and partnerships, like Children's Institute's Project Fatherhood).
Again, the Good+ founder and president found herself struck by how much she loves the "casual" nature of the City of Angels.
"In New York, I feel like I'm dressed for work every single day, and we dress like we're in armor," she told Pret-a-Reporter on the press line for the event, which raised $200,000 for initiatives and programs sponsored by Good+ for fathers in need. "In L.A. there's not as much armor."
The result of ditching heavy duds in favor of the easy breezy way delivered a welcome exhale. "I'm immediately relaxed when I'm out here," she smiled, dressed in cobalt blue Mugler. "I could move here, but I don't know if that's in the cards."
