Fashion's most interesting red carpet is about to begin, as fans wait to see the prestige outfits worn by a myriad of stars including Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more at New York's 71st annual Met Gala, which will be available to stream online and via social media channels.

This year's theme is "Camp: Notes on Fashion," inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay "Notes on 'Camp.'"

Given that the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute fundraiser is helmed by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the magazine will stream the event on both their Instagram Live and Snapchat My Stories. Exclusive interviews with stars, red carpet coverage and behind-the-scenes happenings will be broadcast live. The publication will also post minute-by-minute updates from the red carpet on their website and Twitter

E!’s Live From the Red Carpet will also offer special coverage of the Met Gala starting at 5 p.m. ET. Coverage will be available to stream via the E! website, its mobile apps or on other streaming services such as Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV, among others. Their coverage will be led by Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with E! style correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi, and Project Runway's Elaine Welteroth. E!’s live stream, hosted by The Rundown's Erin Lim, Daily Pop's Justin Sylvester and Frankie Grande, will start at 7 p.m. ET. CNN will also broadcast red carpet coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

The annual fundraising gala, put on by the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, usually marks a historic night for fashion designers. The co-chairs of this year's gala are Lady Gaga, Gucci's Alessandro Michele, Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Wintour.
