The L.A. Dodgers have made an unusual call to the bullpen. Lisa Vanderpump has been enlisted to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on LGBT Night on June 19, when the team faces the San Francisco Giants. (Also on the bill: Lance Bass and country singer Ty Herndon.) The club will provide the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star -- a self-described "spokesperson for the LGBT community" who has officiated at same-sex weddings -- with a pink Dodgers jersey and a baseball to match. (As for footwear, Vanderpump is leaning toward pink Louboutins, "as you do.")

As news of the very straight Vanderpump's selection spreads, Erik Braverman, the Dodgers vp marketing and broadcasting, says he's been "hearing from a ton of people in the community; nothing's set in stone." Invites since have been extended to Olympic diver Tom Daley, soccer star Robbie Rogers and Oscar-winning scribe Dustin Lance Black to join Vanderpump on the mound.
