Hulu Taps Sundance Alum Jordan Helman to Head Drama

Hulu is ramping up its scripted ranks.

The streaming service has tapped Sundance TV's Jordan Helman to head drama development. Helman will report to head of originals Beatrice Springborn.

In his new role, Helman will oversee drama development and production. Additionally, Hulu has added Aaron Klemanski, former director of development at CBS Television Studios-based Timberman/Beverly Productions (Masters of Sex, Justified) to work under Helman on drama production and alongside Jessica K. Scott.

Helman previously served as vp scripted programming at Sundance, where he worked on a slate of originals including Rectify, The Honorable Woman and The Red Road.

Hulu's upcoming slate includes mini 11/22/63, Jason Katims' The Way and more.

For his part, Helman launched Sundance's Los Angeles-based scripted operations in 2012. Before that, he was at  Landscape Entertainment. He started his career in the mailroom at Endeavor.
