Hurricane Earl cancels Ke$ha concert

Rockin' the Upper East Side Music Festival in hurricane path

TORONTO -- Pop superstar Ke$ha will not be rocking the house in St. John's, Newfoundland this weekend, now that Hurricane Earl is due to roll through the Canadian province.

Safety concerns has David Carver Concerts canceling the Rockin' the Upper East Side Music Festival, and refunding tickets, on fears hurricane winds could blow the stage, and much else in Newfoundland, over.

Also scheduled on the 10-hour outdoor concert card was Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray and Lifehouse, Kardinal Offishall and Christa Borden.

Hurricane Earl is predicted to cut a swath through the eastern seaboard and into Atlantic Canada starting Friday.
