The former N.W.A member also weighed in on whether he would consider joining West as his running mate.

During a recent interview to promote the new N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, rap legend Ice Cube was asked a very important question regarding America's future: Would he vote Kanye West for president in 2020?

"I'm voting for Kanye. Why not?" Cube told Britain's Daily Mail. "Who's better than Kanye to run?"

As the whole world knows by now, West announced that he'd be running for president in 2020 during his passionate 13-minute speech at the MTV VMAs on Aug. 30. The rapper was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the ceremony.

Cube was also asked whether he'd be interested in the VP spot, which could cause some problems with Taylor Swift, who's already got dibs on being West's running mate. Luckily, Cube isn't interested.

"No, I'm not into politics like that," the rapper responded, as his son O'Shea Jackson Jr. (who portrays his father in Compton), agreed with a laugh.
