Ice Queen Lindsay Vonn Is Red Hot on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (Video)

The talk show host neglected to ask the champion skier about her friendship with Denver Bronco's star quarterback Tim Tebow.

David Letterman totally fumbled while chatting with World Champion skiier Lindsay Vonn -- who was hot to trot in a red satin form-fitting dress -- on last night's show. They chatted all about Olympic skiing, her alpine ski speeds, her nasty fall at 90 miles an hour, trying to escape from the hospital so she could ski the next day, how catty the female skaters are, the differences between Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom, Slalom, and Super, etc, etc.

But not a single question about her rumored romance with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow? Dave, c'mon! Heck, TMZ got more out of her when she told them she was not opposed to dating Tebow but that she isn't and she's totally single.

Tongues really started wagging after Vonn celebrated a win by giving Tebow's trademark down-on-one-knee pose. She claimed she was doing it to 'represent' the Denver Broncos. It's worth mentioning that she has  grown close to 24-year-old Tebow and his brother and she also watched the Broncos beat the Bears from the Tebow family box seats

But she's explained the whole Tebow situation on her Denver Post blog:

"A lot of people are wondering what's up with me and the Tebows. I'm just friends with the family. I met Tim and his brother Pete at the ESPY Awards like three or four years ago in the gym — we were working out there. I spent more time with Tim and his brother at the V Foundation Golf Tournament, and this year at the ESPYs."

"Tim presented me with my ESPY award this year, and we kind of chatted. I said, "If you want to come up to Vail and ski, let me know." Robby invited me to one of their games a few weeks ago. Then we ended up being able to race at Beaver Creek, so he came up for that last Wednesday. I pretty much know their whole family now. They're great people. It's pretty awesome to be able to hang out with them — and to be able to witness the amazing things Tim and the Broncos can do."
So there you have it. Just mutual admiration. Plain and simple.
