Idris Elba's 'Yardie' Heading to Berlin as Festival Completes Panorama Lineup
4:32 AM PST 1/25/2018 by Scott Roxborough

New films from Kim Ki-duk and Ursula Meier are among the highlights of the festival sidebar.
Yardie, Idris Elba's directorial debut; Human, Space, Time and Human, from Korean auteur Kim Ki-duk; and Shock Waves - Diary of My Mind from French-Swiss director Ursula Meier (Sister) are among the highlights of the Panorama selection for the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival.
Panorama unveiled its full lineup Thursday. It will feature 47 films from 40 countries, including 37 world premieres.
River's Edge, a Japanese comedy from director Isao Yukisada (Parade) will open the Panorama sidebar Feb. 15, with the Panorama Special kicking off Feb. 16 with the world premiere of refugee drama Styx from German director Wolfgang Fischer.
Politics again plays a major role in many of this year's Panorama titles, which include Czech director Jan Gebert's documentary When the War Comes, which looks at the global rise of extremist nationalism; Arpad Bogdan's drama Genesis, an examination of a series of attacks on native Roma in Hungary; and The Silence of Others, a doc produced by Pedro Almodovar, which follows the pursuit of those who committed crimes during the Franco dictatorship in Spain.
The 2018 Berlin Film Festival runs Feb. 15-Feb. 25. Check out the full Panorama lineup below.
