IFP's Script to Screen confab returns March 7

Event to open with James Schamus Q&A

New York-based IFP will relaunch its Script to Screen filmmaking conference after a five-year sabbatical on March 7.

The two-day event will open with a conversation between Focus CEO James Schamus and Filmmaker Magazine editor Scott Macaulay.

The conference, hosted by the New York Film Academy, will close with a conversation with Lee Daniels, director of the Sundance prize winner "Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire."

"The landscape for writers has changed so dramatically since the program last took place," IFP executive director Michelle Byrd said. "There's a real appetite from a new generation of content creators looking to connect and learn how others in the New York community are finding their niche."
