Ile-de-France invests in 9 projects

PARIS -- The Ile-de-France region will invest €192,000 ($256,000) in the post-production of nine projects for both the big and small screens, the Ile-de-France Film Commission said Friday.

The commission, presided over by Jean-Paul Huchon, president of the Ile-de-France region and Francis Parny, vp of Culture and New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC), has selected three feature films.

Post-production funding will go to Olivier Meyrou's "Au-dela de la Haine," Helier Cisterne's "Les deux vies du serpent" and Jean-Marc Fabre and Stephane Tchou-Cotta's "Beluga."

The regional subsidy, established last May, is open to all cinematographic projects (fiction, documentary, animation and short films) unable to be completed without such aid.
