Rachel Brosnahan is trading in laughs for thrills in the new trailer for Amazon's upcoming crime thriller I'm Your Woman.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star leads this story about Jean, a suburban housewife in the 1970s who is forced to flee her home with her child after her career thief husband, Eddie (Bill Heck), gets on the wrong side of his partners. When an associate of Eddie's shows up in the middle of the night at their home, Jean is left in the hands of his mysterious and tight-lipped friend, Cal (Arinzé Kene), who's been tasked with keeping them safe from the armed criminals who want revenge on her husband.

"Is anybody looking?" Jean asks Cal about her husband before he anxiously replies, "Everyone's looking. And they're looking for you."

But when Cal also disappears, the young mother who has never been on her own before turns to Teri (Marsha Stephanie Blake), Cal's wife. Teri helps puts Jean on the path to independence as they both venture into Eddie's criminal underworld full of fast cars, dangerous men and deadly sacrifices.

"I just thought you should be prepared for what comes next," Teri tells Jean, after the young mother wonders why she was given a shooting lesson. "What comes next?" Jean replies.

Directed by Julia Hart (Miss Stevens, Fast Color), co-written by Hart and Jordan Horowitz and produced by Horowitz and Brosnahan, Frankie Faison also stars in Amazon's crime drama set to be released on Dec. 11.
