Imax reups CFO Sparacio to 2012

Helped spearhead transition from film to digital projection

TORONTO -- Imax executive vp and CFO Joseph Sparacio has reupped with the giant screen exhibitor for another two years to 2012.

According to an SEC filing Monday, Sparacio will make an annual salary of $385,000, effective May 14 2010, and $400,000 in the second year of his new contract.

Sparacio joined Toronto-based Imax in 2007 just as the company's financial statements were under regulatory scrutiny, and has helped spearhead a transition from film to digital projection and joint venture theatres.

Greg Foster, chairman and president of filmed entertainment for Imax, earlier this month renewed his employment agreement for another three years (HR, May 5).
