Inaugural CannesSeries Jury Unveiled

'Safe' creator Harlan Coben, 'The Wire' Star Michael Kenneth Williams and German actress Paula Beer are among the six-person jury for Cannes' new TV festival.

Harlan Coben, best-selling author of the Myron Bolitar and Stand Alone crime series and creator of upcoming Netflix series Safe, will head up the international jury for the inaugural CannesSeries festival, the new TV fest to launch this year ahead of industry event MIPTV. 

Coben, whose TV work includes the original British crime drama The Five and the French series No Second Chance (adapted from his novels), will judge the 10 international dramas screening at CannesSeries, which runs April 7–11. Joining him on the jury are The Wire actor Michael Kenneth Williams, German actress Paula Beer (Frantz), French screenwriter and director Audrey Fouche (Borgia), Turkish actress Melisa Sozen (Winter Sleep) and Chilean-born Canadian composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Black Mirror).

CannesSeries will unveil the dramas screening in official competition on March 13.
