'Inception' video game in the works

Helmer Christopher Nolan says project will expand on movie

"Inception" director Christopher Nolan revealed Tuesday that a video game based on the mind-bending film is in the works, Variety reported.

"[What] we are looking at doing is developing a video game based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can't fit into a feature film," Nolan said at a press conference Rome to promote the movie, which is due to open in Italy. "That's something we've been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years."

The Warner Bros. movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was released July 16 and has earned $753.4 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
