Indomina, Vivendi Entertainment Ink Multi-Year Distribution Deal

The agreement covers U.S. and Canadian distribution of all Indomina titles through 2014, including "True Legend" and "Bodyguards and Assassins."

Indomina Releasing has signed an exclusive, multi-year distribution deal with Vivendi Entertainment covering video, digital, Internet, television, VOD and mobile platforms.

The agreementl covers U.S. and Canadian distribution of all Indomina Releasing titles through 2014.

Films already slated for release through Vivendi include Yuen Woo Ping’s True Legend starring Vincent Zhao, Zhou Xun, Michelle Yeoh and the late David Carradine; Griff the Invisible starring Ryan Kwanten; Hark Tsui’s Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame with Andy Lau and Carina Lau; and Bodyguards and Assassins with Donnie Yen and Leon Lai.

The first DVD titles will be released in July.

Indomina Releasing is the North American distribution division of The Indomina Group, launched in 2008 by co-founder and CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann.

Its first theatrical release, the martial arts feature True Legend, which will open in May.

Focusing on genre-based indies, Indomina has also acquired such titles as Fire of Conscience, Wasted on the Young, The Pack and Outcast.

The deal with Vivendi was announced Wednesday by Mann and Vivendi Entertainment president Tom O’Malley.
