Inside the Streicher Sisters' Annual Bastille Day Soiree
The power beauty trio dish on throwing the tres chic event.
The Streicher sisters know a thing or two about creating impactful beauty moments for their A-list clients like Emily Blunt, (Jenn is the Brit’s longtime makeup artist), Mandy Moore (Ashley tends to the This Is Us star’s locks) and Gwyneth Paltrow (Kristie is the Goop founder’s brow guru); so it comes as no surprise that these women, with a little help from Caudalie and Christophe Robin, would throw the chicest Bastille Day bash around. The tradition began when Jenn started throwing a party at her house on the French holiday, since many of their friends who were gone for the Fourth of July were back from holiday trips by then. “I also have a pretty heavy obsession with Marie Antoinette and anything French,” jokes Jenn. Adds Kristie, "It's especially fun to celebrate here in L.A. because nobody else I know throws a party for Bastille Day every year."
Just in case you weren’t exactly paying attention in high school history class, the holiday marks the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille — a turning point during the French Revolution. The sisters' third annual fete, held at their Beverly Hills salon, Striiike, was attended by Minka Kelly and Louise Roe, who were fawning over the pastel-hued Bon Puf cotton candy, Caudalie's French Kiss lip tints and customizable head and neck scarves by Donni Charm.
