Int'l TV sales exec Sammy Gang dies<br />

Sammy Gang, a former Hearst Entertainment veteran who spent four decades in the international TV sales business, died Nov. 1 of heart failure in Boynton Beach, Fla. He was 89.

Gang retired as vp international sales at Hearst Entertainment in 1993.

He started his sales career in 1953, selling for National Telefilm Associates in Mexico, Cuba and Puerto Rico. He went to RKO, then ITC International, and he relocated to Mexico. He formed his own company, Global Television Enterprise, which functioned until 1972, when he joined King Features Entertainment. In 1982, that became Hearst.

Gang is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Therese; his sons, Stephen and Gregory; his daughter, Lorraine; and four grandchildren.
