Ion TV acquires 'Without a Trace'

Off-network gets seven seasons of crime drama

NEW YORK -- Ion Television has acquired the seven seasons of crime drama "Without a Trace" in a deal with Time Warner's Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, the latest for an off-network series.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Kristine Hunsinger, senior vp, planning, scheduling and acquisitions for parent company Ion Media Networks announced the deal for the 160 episodes of "Trace" on Monday.

"The highly successful and critically acclaimed 'Without a Trace' has enjoyed a strong and consistent network following," said Hunsinger. "This series is the perfect complement to our dynamic primetime line-up of hit off-network series, which already includes such favorites as 'Criminal Minds,' 'Ghost Whisperer' and 'NCIS'."
