IPTV to double in Russia by 2012

Revenue expected to reach $56 mil

MOSCOW -- According to a report on Russia's IPTV market, 600,000 Russian households will have IPTV by 2012, a twofold increase from 2007.

Russian operators' revenue from providing the IPTV service will reach $19 million in 2008, increasing to $56 million in 2012, said the report from research company J'son&Partners.

The largest operators in the Russian IPTV sector in the first half of 2008 were Stream-TV, which accounted for 61% of the market, and Svyazinvest (31%).
