Is Kim Kardashian's Cryptic Louis Vuitton Instagram a Hint About Her Daughter's Name?

Fans seem to think so.

This just in from the Kardashian baby news watch: Kim Kardashian may (or may not) have revealed the name of her 3-day-old daughter. Nobody knows!

The hulabaloo was created late Wednesday night after the social media scion — notorious for taunting fans by dropping clues across her Instagram and Twitter feeds ahead of major announcements — posted an up-close photo of Louis Vuitton's "LV" monogram. Posted without context (or caption), the cryptic image sent Kardashian konspiracy theorists into overdrive guessing if the "LV" initials were indicative of the third West baby's name.

Popular name guesses included Elle V. West, Livy West, Love West or Elvie West. A less popular, albeit, very common, guess was Louis Vuitton West. But we have more faith in Kim than to believe that.

Coincidentally (or not), Louis Vuitton the fashion house showed its men's fall 2018 collection in Paris today, the final offering from outgoing designer Kim Jones. The vacancy at the storied house has us wondering if perhaps rather than an "LV" joining the West family, a West (cough, Kanye, cough) might be joining the Vuitton family? It's a stretch, but stranger things have happened.

No baby names have been confirmed by any member of the Kardashian klan; however, Kim did post a heartfelt explanation of her experience using a "gestational carrier" — which, she clarified, is the correct term for the woman who carried her baby but had no biological connection to the baby, not "surrogate" — adding that "this was the best experience I've ever had."

"Our gestational carrier gave us the greatest gift one could give," wrote Kim. "The connection with our baby came instantly and it's as if she was with us the whole time. Having a gestational carrier was so special for us and she made our dreams of expanding our family come true."

Update — 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19: Kim Kardashian has tweeted that the LV monogram image was not a reference to her baby daughter's yet-to-be-revealed name, but a shout-out to outgoing Louis Vuitton menswear designer Kim Jones, who showed his final collection for the brand on Thursday and brought Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss onto the runway for his bow.
