Season three of the highly lauded show Gomorrah is set to return to Sky Italy on Nov. 17. Hailed as the best mafia show since The Sopranos, Gomorrah has been distributed in 190 countries, with Sundance TV airing the show in the U.S.

The seruies has had gangbusters ratings in Italy, with the highest-ever viewer loyalty for the network (93%), as Italian audiences can't get enough of the gritty drama about the Camorra mafia.

Titled “Kings Fall, Ghosts Reappear, War Returns," the exclusive season 3 trailer reveals new power alliances between the show’s main characters: Genny (Salvatore Esposito), Ciro (Marco D'Amore), Malammore (Fabio De Caro) and Scianel (Cristina Donadio), all scrambling to fill the power vacuum left after the murder of boss Pietro Savastano. A host of new characters appear in what is to be an all-out war between old and new clans. The third season is directed by Claudio Cupellini and Francesca Comencini.

A special interim episode, Gomorrah VR, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, placing viewers, via virtual reality technology, on the streets of Naples to follow the show’s main characters after the devastating season two finale.
