The deal was brokered by Mediaset format and light entertainment executive Fatma Ruffini and ITV senior sales executive Andre Renaud.

The format deal comes as the global production arm of the U.K. commercial broadcaster said it has licensed the U.S. and U.K. versions of "Four Weddings" to 75 territories including BBC Worldwide (Africa), HOT Family (Israel), SBS (Belgium), TVNZ (New Zealand), Lifestyle (Australia) and Zone Club (Poland and Hungary).

The 13 x 1 hour show launched on U.K. female skewed digital web Living in 2009, becoming the top rated show in the Monday 9 p.m. slot.

Living has now also bought the ITV Studios produced TLC version of the show for the U.K.

"Four Weddings" follows four brides as they compete for their all important perfect wedding day, with a fairytale honeymoon as the prize.
