ITV picks up NBC movie slate

Free-to-air U.K. TV rights to hundreds of titles

LONDON -- ITV has picked up rights to a slate of hundreds of NBC current and library movies including "Mamma Mia," "The Boat That Rocked," "The Bourne Supremacy," and "The Mummy," under the terms of a new deal that gives free-to-air U.K. TV rights to ITV and its digital family of channels including ITV1, 2, 3 and 4.

The deal also covers such series as "Monk" and "Ironside" in a deal signed off by ITV director of digital channels and acquisitions Zai Bennett and Belinda Menendez, president, NBC Universal International Television distribution.
