ITV Studios Germany Boss Jan Kromschroder Sets Up Productions Shingle With Beta Film

Bantry Bay Productions, based in Cologne, will focus on producing drama series for the German and international market.

German television producer Jan Kromschroder, head of ITV Studios Germany, has launched a new production shingle together with Munich-based producers/distributors Beta Film.

The new company, Bantry Bay Productions, will officially launch October 1 and will be based in Cologne. It will focus on producing high-end drama series for the German and international marketplace.

Kromschroder is a veteran of the German production scene. In addition to his work with ITV Studios, he has been head of television movies at leading German commercial broadcaster RTL and head of fiction at Berlin-based network Sat.1.

His production credits include the hit Sat.1 crime series The Last Cop, currently in its fifth season.

Beta Film will hold a stake in Bantry Bay Productions via holding company Rosebank, which also controls format production outfit Seapoint Productions.
