CANNES -- ITV Studios struck a slew of deals on the Croisette on Wednesday, announcing the sale of its wedding contest format "Four Weddings" to German network ZDFneo and to TLC in the U.S.

ITV's German production subsidiary Granada Germany will produce the 5x45 local version of "Weddings," while ITV Studios Inc. will produce for the U.S.

The show follows four competing brides as they organize their nuptials, and each is covertly judged and scored on her special day by her three rivals, after which the winning couple jet off on a dream honeymoon.

Separately, ITV said Spanish broadcaster Telecinco had picked up more than 450 hours of programming for its portfolio of digital channels including such factual shows as "Nanny 911," "Trinny and Susannah Undress" and "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" and drama series including "Cold Feet" and "Cracker."

The news comes after ITV announced the launch of a Spanish production division ITV Studios Spain, which will be headed by Fran Garcia as managing director.

"As the digital-switchover happens in Spain, broadcasters are requiring even larger portfolios of high-quality, trusted content," said Tobi de Graaff, director of global TV distribution at ITV Studios. "We're delighted to be working with Telecinco as a preferred supplier for their portfolio of digital channels," he added. In a further development, Australian pay operator Foxtel said it had appointed ITV Studios as its international distribution partner on all its finished programming and formats internationally, covering over 30 hours of programming including "Football Superstar," and "The Merrick and Rosso Show."

ITV Studios also has a first-look co-financing partnership option for future Foxtel productions.
