ITV unveils a new fall lineup

Schedule boasts live soccer and 'The X Factor'

LONDON -- Live soccer, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and the return of "The X Factor" are all featured in the fresh ITV fall schedule announced Friday.

The commercial web said it hopes to attract myriad viewers by showing a brace of England World Cup soccer tournie qualifiers in the fall alongside UEFA Champions League matches and early rounds of the FA Cup.

Elsewhere, the autumn lineup contains "Duchess on the Estate," a program which sees Ferguson attempt to help communities raise ambitions and standards.

And Piers Morgan, of "America's Got Talent" judging fame, is back on screen with a set of celebrity guests in a new season of "Life Stories."

Ratings winner "The X Factor" is also set to return alongside a new strategy-based game show called "The Cube," where contestants can win up to £250,000 ($411,000), ITV said.

ITV director of television, channels and online Peter Fincham said the fall line-up offers "something for everyone."

Fincham added: "The range of programming that we offer caters to a wide range of different tastes and this autumn is no exception. Viewers can look forward to great drama, big events, major stars, and real impact from ITV1."
