Jack Ford resigns from SPT

Munnich takes over for 14-year veteran

SYDNEY -- Jack Ford, Sony Pictures Television executive vp and managing director Australia and New Zealand, has resigned after 14 years with the company, SPT international boss Michael Grindon said Friday.

As well as overseeing SPT's TV licensing business in those territories, Ford also was instrumental in launching several key pay TV channels, including top-rated TV hits station TV1, the Sci Fi Channel and movie service Showtime Australia.

Kylie Munnich, currently SPT's executive director distribution for Australia and New Zealand, becomes vp distribution Australia and New Zealand and will head the local team responsible for the licensing of SPT's television series and feature films to TV, mobile and digital clients.

Munnich will report to Ross Pollack, SPT's senior vp distribution Asia, and continue to be based in Sydney.
