Jack Pan Exiting as STX Entertainment Marketing Chief
Former Universal executive president Eddie Egan will step in as interim marketing president.
STX Entertainment president of marketing Jack Pan is exiting the independent studio, with former Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment marketing chief Eddie Egan taking over as interim president.
“Jack informed us that he will be leaving the company to devote more time helping care for his family," an STX spokesperson said Wednesday. "He has been a valued colleague and an outstanding member of our launch team. We are incredibly grateful to him for his contributions to our inaugural slate, especially The Gift, The Boy and Bad Moms."
Egan has been working as a senior marketing consulting with STX — where his former Universal boss Adam Fogelson is chairman of the motion picture group — since last summer.
Egan served as president of domestic marketing at Universal and was most recently head of marketing for Illumination.
Upcoming STX releases include Desierto, The Edge of Seventeen and The Space Between Us.
