Vargas treated her clients to a new procedure, the "Supernova."

Earlier this morning, several stars saw their longtime skin specialist Joanna Vargas in order to get an optimal glow before hitting the Oscar red carpet.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Elisabeth Moss, Greta Gerwig and Haley Bennett all visited Vargas’ newly opened salon inside the Sunset Tower Hotel a few hours ago (the facialist says she sees celebs all week when here from New York during Oscar week, but reserves Sunday morning for nominees and presenters).

Vargas is treating her A-list clients with a new facial called the “Supernova” that incorporates an ultra-hydrating procedure called an aquapeel, which is similar to microdermabrasion but exfoliates the face while pushing vitamins and nutrients into the skin.

“I am huge fan of technology," says Vargas from her sprawling new space inside the storied hotel (the pale pink walls and rose gold and bronze accents of each room echo the look of her product line).

Vargas adds that she has a few clients walking the carpet today that have extremely sensitive skin and cannot do microdermabrasion, so the aquapeel aspect of the Supernova is perfect for parched skin that needs to get glowing.

The Supernova also includes two collagen masks for extra and immediate plumping. Vargas has also developed a Supernova serum to extend the effects of the facial at home. After a night of post-Oscar parties, stars will certainly benefit from the extra hydration in a bottle.
