James Franco Tweets His Pre-Oscar Morning

The Oscar co-host posts videos and photos of himself in his hotel room for fans.

Oscar co-host James Franco took to Twitter to reveal pictures of himself getting into character before the show.

The actor, who has already shared several other Oscar-related videos and pictures with fans since joining the social networking site last week, first tweeted a black and white photo of himself getting his makeup done on Friday.

On Sunday morning, he posted a brief video of himself waking up in bed, then followed with a snapshot of the view from his hotel room accompanied by the tweet, "oscar morning." An hour before the red carpet opened, he posted a close-up of the word "dog" written in blue letters on someone's skin.

Shortly before leaving, Franco tweeted one final video from the hotel with a message for fans.

"Hey there, it's James Franco," he says to the camera. "I am talking to you from my suite pretty close to the Kodak Theatre. Just wanted to let you know you should look out for a few tweets during the show. During the Oscars, that is."

Franco will co-host tonight's Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway. The show will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and will air at 8 p.m. on ABC.
