Jamia Nash tunes up with Firm

Company to help oversee 11-year-old's career

The Firm said Monday that it's partnering with the Popular Entertainment Group to oversee the career of singer-actress Jamia Nash.

The 11-year-old performed at the Academy Awards in February, singing the Oscar-nominated song "Raise It Up" from "August Rush."

The Firm CEO Jeff Kwatinetz said, "She is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime talent that people will look back at one day and recall the first time they heard her voice or saw her act."

Strand Releasing has acquired all domestic rights to Doris Dorrie's German love story "Cherry Blossoms -- Hanamai." The film premiered in February at the Berlin International Film Festival. Strand plans a fall release.
