The Birkin bag will live on.

After reading PETA's report regarding the inhumane treatment of crocodiles at Hermes' suppliers, Jane Birkin asked the famed French fashion house to remove her name from their iconic "Birkin" handbag.

Hermes then conducted its own separate investigation and found an "isolated irregularity" in the slaughter process at the accused Texas farm that has since been reconciled. The company has stated that it will cease further relations should the farm neglect any other protocol.

According to a statement from Hermes, these measures have appeased the British actress. "Jane Birkin has advised us that she is satisfied by the measures taken by Hermes," the luxury house said in a statement to Reuters

We may all now rest assured that Birkin bags will live on. Phew.
