The satellite TV network also picks up 'American Gothic' in a licensing deal with CBS Studios International.

Japan’s top satellite TV network Wowow and CBS Corp.'s CBS Studios International on Monday unveiled a multiseries licensing deal, which covers Twin Peaks, Bull and American Gothic.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

“For the millions of Wowow subscribers who have been watching the company’s programming since its launch 25 years ago, the new Twin Peaks will re-ignite great memories of the original Twin Peaks series that was part of Wowow’s original lineup,” said Hitoshi Yamamoto, general manager of the network's programming division, referring to the David Lynch-directed Showtime reboot of the iconic drama.

Bull, a legal drama starring Michael Weatherly, was the highest-rated new network show in the U.S. last year.

The series will air on Wowow’s Prime channel, which already runs CBS and Showtime programming, including The Affair, Zoo and the contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes Elementary.
