'Mad Men's' Jared Harris to Star in U.K. Horror 'The Quiet Ones'

The Hammer horror movie is next in line after the Daniel Radcliffe starrer “The Woman In Black” on the banner’s U.K. production roster.

LONDON – Jared Harris, one of the star turns in Mad Men, has signed up to star in The Quiet Ones, a horror/thriller to be directed by John Pogue (Quarantine 2) from a script by Tom DeVille.

Craig Rosenberg, Oren Moverman and most recently Pogue have had a hand in script revisions for the movie which details the story – inspired by true events -- of an unorthodox but charismatic professor who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment:  to create a poltergeist from negative human energy.

The movie marks the next film from British production banner Hammer Films, which recently broke local box office records with The Woman In Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe and has taken north of $120 million worldwide to date.
