The actor will star in four episodes of the drama’s second season and also direct one.

Jason Priestley has signed on for a multi-episode arc on the upcoming second season of the SyFy drama Haven from Entertainment One (eOne), the network announced Friday.

Priestley will play Chris Weekly, “a handsome anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing,” according to the network. No word on what that “affliction” is, of course.
He will also direct one episode of Haven, which commences production next month in Nova Scotia. The second season of 13 episodes is targeted to bow this summer.
The actor has honed a directing career in the wake of his star-making turn on the '90s series Beverly Hills 90210. And while he’s also acted in numerous television series, most of them (Love Monkey, Side Order of Life, last summer’s ABC drama Scoundrels) have failed to catch on. He’s currently starring in the critically hailed Canadian comedy, also produced by eOne, Call Me Fitz, playing a morally bankrupt used car salesman. Fitz is set to bow on DirecTV’s The 101 Network April 21.
