Jay-Z, Coldplay to co-headline Vegas concert

New Year's Eve show to be broadcast over Las Vegas Strip

Vegas doesn't do anything small. So when it came time to plan its New Year's Eve celebration, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas casino-resort tapped two of music's biggest acts to ring in 2011.

Rapper Jay-Z and rockers Coldplay will share a stage as co-headliners, as well as turn in solo sets, at the Cosmopolitan on December 31. The concert is part of a three-day invitation-only celebration happening approximately two weeks after the $3.9 billion resort opens on Dec. 15.

Plans include for the show to be broadcast on the hotel's 65-foot marquee that overlooks the Las Vegas Strip.
