Exec will oversee digital games business

NEW YORK -- Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group is looking to continue expanding its video gaming presence, especially in digital games, promoting on Tuesday an executive to oversee the growth of its digital games business.

Jeff Junge has been appointed to the new post of senior vp, online games and digital games platforms at Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Junge oversaw last month's acquisition of big online gaming studio Turbine and the integration of interactive game publisher TT Games, which the company acquired in 2007.

He will report to Martin Tremblay, president, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Thomas Gewecke, president, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.

"Jeff has orchestrated numerous high-profile acquisitions and has a deep understanding of digital platforms and games, which are key priorities for the studio," said Kevin Tsujihara, president, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
