Jeff Margolis to exec produce Oscar pre-show

'Countdown to the Oscars 2010' will air March 7 on ABC

Jeff Margolis, who exec produced the recent Screen Actor Guild Awards, will exec produce "Countdown to the Oscars 2010," the Oscarcast preshow, which will air on ABC on March 7 at 5 p.m. PT.

"We're proud to claim one of the legends of the industry is taking charge of the Oscar preshow," said Bill Mechanic, who is producing the Oscar show along with Adam Shankman.
