Amy Schumer Bleeped Out While Presenting at the Golden Globes With Jennifer Lawrence
The two friends joke about their celebrity nicknames and Schumer drops the C-word.
Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence were in fine form at the Golden Globes on Sunday as the two nominees introduced clips from their movies Trainwreck and Joy.
Ricky Gervais introduced the actresses, saying they asked him to point out that they're best friends. "It's like they've never had a friend before," said Gervais.
"I'm J.Law," said Lawrence. "I'm A. Schu," said Schumer.
Lawrence told the comedian that she can't just give herself a celebrity nickname. "It has to come naturally," explained Lawrence.
"Usually they just call me a c—" said Schumer, as she was bleeped out on television.
Schumer went on to test out celebrity couple names for herself, pairing her name with Tom Hardy and "all of the Hemsworthses." Lawrence told Schumer that it has to be people she's dating, not just people she wants to sleep with.
Then the actresses joked about all of the preconceived notions people have of women in Hollywood, including that everyone wants to be friends with "Jen and Amy" and that they should be models.
Both Lawrence and Schumer were nominated for best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy. When Lawrence was named as the winner, Schumer gave her a giant hug and a standing ovation.
The actresses are good friends; prior to the Globes, Lawrence even joked that she wanted to wear the same gown as Schumer. "I'm just going to have to have Dior make two of whatever they're making for me," said Lawrence in an interview. The actress later clarified that she was just kidding.
The two friends are working on a movie script with Schumer's sister. They went on a girls' trip together in 2015 and danced with each other on top of Billy Joel's piano in Chicago.
