"My remarks were taken grossly out of context. Obviously I never claimed that President Trump was responsible for these tragic hurricanes. That is a silly and preposterous headline."

Can't keep up with what's been going on in the social media world? Fret not. Here, a gathering of what stars, artists and brands have been up to this week on social media.

Meet Charlene

If you haven’t watched Ava Ryan’s videos — in which the 7-year-old plays a middle-aged Southern woman named Charlene with a lot to complain and gossip about — you need to watch. W magazine invited Ryan to its office to get her take on the latest fall fashion trends. Playing the part of a fashion-editor "boss lady" named Ava, she runs through accessories and immediately stops to demand her “pizza and sush.” Thus #sush was born.

Jennifer Lawrence Enrages Alt-Right Over Climate-Change Comments

Jennifer Lawrence revealed her feelings on climate change and the state of our nation in a harrowing interview with the U.K.’s Channel 4. There was only a brief mention of Lawrence’s latest flick, Mother — a film that was so strenuous to shoot that the actress broke her diaphragm — before the conversation turned to topics of national concern.

“It’s scary to know that climate change is due to human activity and we continue to ignore it,” said a somber Lawrence. The current social climate in the U.S. polarizes and upsets the actress: “You're watching these hurricanes now, and it's hard not to feel Mother Nature's wrath. ... I’ve heard things and seen things in my country that devastate me and make me sick. It’s just really confusing.”

When asked if she was confused about President Donald Trump, Lawrence stoically replied, “I don’t find him confusing.” After a brief pause, she added, “I think I know exactly what he is.”

Alt-right Twitter users misquoted Lawrence, tweeting unfounded theories that claimed she said Trump was the cause of the recent hurricanes hitting the U.S. Simmer down, folks. On Sunday, Lawrence responded to the twitter crowd, via facebook.
