Jennifer Lawrence Posed Naked With a Snake For 'Vanity Fair'
The photo is an homage to the 1981 Richard Avedon 'Vogue' portrait of Nastassja Kinski.
Patrick Demarchelier photographed Jennifer Lawrence for her November 2014 Vanity Fair cover shoot and apparently a giant snake was involved in one of the portraits. The picture, released by the magazine months later on Feb. 5., features a naked Lawrence lying down on a deck with a large Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor draped around her.
VF explained that the picture is "an homage to the 1981 Richard Avedon Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski." The magazine noted Lawrence was "very brave and nonchalant" about the snake, until it "took a fancy to her neck."
