Dior's creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri and actress Jennifer Lawrence pay homage to the house's birthplace in the film and with a new seasonless Dior 30 Montaigne capsule collection.

To usher in its new pre-fall ad campaign, which launched today, luxury French fashion house Dior called upon Jennifer Lawrence to lend her star power.

And while the lens is focused on the Academy-award winning actress as she strikes a series of poses in a gallery, she inevitably shares the spotlight with the new seasonless Dior 30 Montaigne capsule collection that intuitively takes inspiration from its name.

“The connection we develop to a place can be extremely powerful,” Dior’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, said in a statement. ‘I felt it right away when I stepped inside 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s historic birthplace. I thought about creating a new line that would reflect the identity of the House and, at the same time, offer women the opportunity to create a ‘My Dior’ allure in harmony with their lifestyle.”

The essence of the house comes to life in items such as the iconic Bar jacket with its calculated proportions, a genderless crisp white shirt, a feminine sheer pleated skirt with a cream underlay, houndstooth slingbacks and, of course, a new collection of classic leather bags with customizable metal clasps. Redefining luxury for an eco-conscious era, Chiuri selected natural materials such as wool, silk, cotton, lace and denim to bring the synergy of her designs and the collection’s namesake to life.

“I love what Maria Grazia is doing,” Lawrence said in a statement, nodding to the Italian designer who took over the helm at Dior in 2016. “The clothes from this collection are incredibly wearable and the subtlety of the craftsmanship is amazing.”

Lawrence has long been a face of the brand. In 2013, the actress starred in her first handbag campaign for the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned house and five years later she made a splash as the first face of the brand’s Joy fragrance, which resulted in a short film titled Joy.

30 Montaigne is available online and at a selection of Dior boutiques.
