Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, Sterling K. Brown Join 'Hotel Artemis'
Jodie Foster and Dave Bautista are starring in the film that will serves as Drew Pearce's directorial debut.
Hotel Artemis, starring Jodie Foster, has added Jenny Slate, Charlie Day and Sterling K. Brown.
Drew Pearce (who wrote Iron Man 3 and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation) will make his directorial debut with the project based on his own script.
Foster is starring along with Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella and Jeff Goldblum. The futuristic thriller focuses on a nurse (Foster) who runs an underground hospital in Los Angeles where criminals go to get stitched up. But things go awry when one patient lands in the hospital with hopes of assassinating another.
Marc Platt (La La Land) is producing with Adam Siegel and Ink Factory’s Simon Cornwell and Stephen Cornwell.
Lionsgate will be selling international rights to the project in Cannes, while WME is handling domestic.
Slate’s credits include Obvious Child, Joshy, Gifted and Digging for Fire. She will soon be seen in Landline, which will be released July 21. Slate is repped by WME.
Day stars on the hit series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His recent film credits include Fist Fight and The Hollars. Day is repped by WME, 3 Arts and Sloane, Offer.
Brown won a best supporting actor Emmy for his work in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He also stars on NBC series This Is Us. On the big screen, the actor will soon be seen in Marshall with Chadwick Boseman, Marvel and Disney’s Black Panther and Shane Black’s The Predator. Brown is repped by Innovative and JWS Entertainment.
