Jessica Alba, Amber Heard and Stacy Keibler Sit Front and Center at Michael Kors' Furry Fashion Show
But the big question is whether or not any of the show's famous attendees will attempt to wear his fur-friendly attire.
Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba was definitely not invisible at Michael Kors' Fall 2012 show at New York Fashion Week. She sat in the front row among many superhuman beauties Tuesday as the designer previewed pieces from his upcoming collection.
She sat next to her husband Cash Warren and wore a sexy teal Kors sheath with a cleavage-revealing cut-out beneath its black leather neckline.
Nearby, Rum Diaries actress Amber Heard at watching the show, as was George Clooney’s new gal pal Stacy Keibler, wearing a fitted green dress with leather details. Also in the fashion crowd: Katie Couric, Angelica Huston, stylist Rachel Zoe and her former employee Brad Goreski, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Smash star Debra Messing, Rolling Stones member Keith Richards’ wife Patti Hansen, and her daughter Theodora Richards.
All the ladies seemed to love Kors' cozy red buffalo checks, knits and tweeds. But it remains to be seen if any of the celebs will risk wearing Kors' fur stoles, coats, jackets, boots, scarves, muffs and purses. Especially since almost every outfit in his collection featured fur: one model wore nothing more than a wool turtleneck, a pair of furry boots, and matching panties. So much for the "shaved" look.
Kors can expect to have trouble selling these furry styles in West Hollywood, CA retail stores. The city is the first in the U.S. to ban the sales of fur, and although the law takes effect in Sepember 2013, protestors carrying signs and coffins were already out in force on February 12 to protest in front of the trendy Melrose Avenue boutique Maxfield. The anti-furbies claimed that the store owner, Tommy Perse, reneged on his promise to remove all fur items several months ago.
